BlindSpot is run by sustainability analyst James Greyson. He designs economic instruments to reverse major global problems. James' consultancy work encompasses uniquely creative advice and critical reviews of projects and plans. This work remains with clients and is not used elsewhere.

James has 16 years professional experience of waste and sustainability analysis and consulting in the UK and
internationally. James has worked for Greater London Consultants, Environmental Appraisal Unit, Precycled Planet, SD Innovation and BlindSpot. Clients include Electrolux Group, The Co-operative Bank and The University of Cambridge. His latest paper, on security and sustainability economics, is being published by the NATO Science Programme. James' orginal academic degree is engineering (University of Western Australia 1986). Since then he has been retraining himself in the policy and practice of sustainable development.

James' specialist skills are:
Intuitive joining-up of issues;
Rapid reviewing of projects, concepts and plans; and
Lateral thinking around long-standing obstacles.
